Consumer battery on my r230 sl

Hi peps hope your all keeping well and safe , and happy Easter ,as happy as it can be at the moment,
Just need bit of advice ,my sl as been of the road for few weeks now due to not being able to use it due to this crappy virus and not having any work ,anyway I put consumer battery on charge using my
cetek mrs 5.0 ,and left it to do its thing ,I’ve gone to open car this morning ,press button on fob nowt happing ,unknown to me the wife had unplugged the lead in garage forgot to plug back in ,over a week ago,so presumed battery dead,took out key have 2 and both would not open door,but will open boot so not sure what’s going on there,but what I want to know hi what mode do I need to put the cetek on consumer battery on to hopefully recharge it and let me use fob thanks all

It's an AGM battery (or should be) so just set it to that.

Alternatively open the driver's door using the key, start the engine and go do some emergency shopping in the next decent sized town. The consumer battery will recharge from the car.

Thanks mate,I tried the key in door wouldnt turn,so put in boot lock and it’s opened boot ,I’ve now left it on AGM and car symbol,I’ve just tried fob again and it now working ,but prob I have now is I carnt get key out of boot lock,this is first time I’ve ever had to use it ,any ideas

Spray lubricant around the key and work it back and forth until it releases. Do the same with the drivers door. Then lubricate the locks every 6 months so they’ll work if and when you need them.

Done just that and sorted many thanks,told the mrs not to mess with the plugs now haha,

all this modern tech (shite ) that stops us with the basics ( regular lube ) and thats all we have when the tech gives up !!!!!!!!!!!! a fine example of reality ................
