Hi Freddy,
The answer depends on whether you have Xenon headlamps....they are adjustable by a switch behind the lens, I believe; normal halogens, generally are not. During our Continental tour last year, I bought a set of stick-on universal beam adjusters on the cross Channel ferry which made me legal without affecting the beam too much. However, others I know do nothing, or just simply lower the beam a bit using the dashboard switch.
Also, it is worthwhile noting what other requirements there are for the countries you propose visiting - like spare bulbs, fluorescent jackets, etc.
By the way, the Euro exchange rate at the moment is playing havoc with the fuel costs over there!!
.......... and don't forget a spare pair of glasses, if you normally wear a pair for driving. European Breakdown cover, is money well spent. And TWO triangles, Spare bulbs and TWO fluorescent jackets. Not forgetting a can or two of pumpy, squirty tyre sealer. OH, and a couple of torches (most roads are unlit). Enjoy - you will be amazed at the almost empty roads. Bliss
You lost your key ? Or maybe you need a spare!
