On many tyre threads there are reports of horrifically low miles per tyre followed by "oh well, what did you expect from brand abc - you should have bought brand xyz".

I can report that I'm about to change my Continental Sport Contact 3's on the rear after c18000 miles.

For a premium sport tyre, on the rear, and with my fairly regular point and squirt driving style, I must say, I'm pleased with that .

2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
You cannot complain on that car, Conti's are good usually on the mileage front

I have averaged 16360 miles for rear tyres so 18000 sounds good to me.

I have them on my W203 (MO spec), mileage is far shorter than I would expect, got under 8k from the last pair of rears and I am not hard on them

This is exactly why I posted my 18K and not out figure - 8K is bizarre with my car weighing more/having considerably more power than yours .
