Control Arm Change - ARB Clearance

I have changed the offside lower control arm on my E350 C207 using a DriveTec part which states it fits my vehicle. I'm still waiting for verification from GSF Car Parts on this however the box states OE no. 203 330 0211 and 204 330 4411

The clearance between the new control arm and ARB is now only about 1-2mm whereas on the nearside where the original OEM part is, the clearance is much greater - See photos

Is this a problem? Anyone had the same issue?

This is the problem with some pattern parts I certainly wouldn’t be happy with that clearance there are OE parts available for most suspension parts I’d stick with them or use MB parts

I wouldn't be happy with that.
You're bound to get contact between the two at some point. I'd also wonder whether it has put your suspension out of alignment.
On suspension I'd go for Lemforder if MB is out of your price range.

I bought a patent suspension arm on the S tank 7 years ago, it fitted fine but threw my suspension alignment out, amber light appeared.
Have gone down the lemforder route since. No problems.

Thanks all, really helpful. I'm hoping to get a refund from GSF, assuming they don't argue the part is a match (it clearly isn't!). I don't want to create more problems whilst trying to fix others!
I'll look into Lemforder
