Can anyone put us in touch with any firms willing to convert a left hand drive Mercedes 230SL 1966 to right hand drive. Also does anyone know of any suppilers able to supply neccessary parts to procede with such conversion.
This conversion may be advantagous to a small garage as Mr Baxter has a private collection of 5 Mercedes 230/280SL's.

Mr Baxter,

At the risk of making a complete fool of myself (which I do all the time) - Why?

If you had tried to do this when the car was new then I would have simply suggested you had more money than sense, but with a nearly 40 year old car I would have thought that sourcing the required parts, correct trim colours etc. would have been impossible, and thats before you try finding someone to do the work at an economic rate.

Finally I had always beleived tat the way to maintain the value of a classic car was to remain as close as possible to original condition.

Mark.

Use the money you had planned for the conversion on having your car sent across to the continent from time to time and drive it there during the summer months. A far more pleasant experience.
