im have a problem with the roof lining on my eclass and so far I’ve been told I need to replace the roof lining and that going to cost £1500 at my Indy.

My question is would it be cheaper to replace the entire roof, is that a difficult job?

My CLK is 2009 and doesn’t have any issues , what’s the failure on yours ?
The lining has come unattached on one side.

I’d see if you can find a local retrimmer see if they might have a go at repair before shelling out for a new liner

I’ve tried a few and they don’t seem to want to even look at it.

Any good upholsterer can sort that out, there is one in Baldock behind the Tesco Store in a row of units there. Sorry no number or name for you.:(

Hi
207 E500 Convertible is certainly a rare beast indeed.
I have a 65 plate 207 convertible with a black hood, though there was nothing wrong with it I had seen another one but with a red hood and much preferred it.
I found a used red hood on e-bay and did consider replacing it and found the MB WIS instructions for the hood assembly removal removal/refitting, and removal replacement of the hood cover but due to not really having anywhere undercover and secure to do it I decided against.
Not sure its of any use to you, even if its only out of interest whats involved if you want it PM with you're email address and I will forward it to you

We it appears most trimmers don't want to touch it, so I've seen a few places that will replace the whole roof for under £1500. Any ideas who is good or bad at that sort of thing.

See what happens when you put your mind to it. ;)
My rear pillar covering has come away from the steel it but on the right side rear, it needs doing too, one day I will get around to it, though mine is on the 55.

How did you fix it? I can't believe that will take 1500. Surely it's just some clips?
