Coolant in oil C240

Confused!!!!!! My C240 is slowly loosing coolant into the oil. I have changed the heat exchanger with no cure so all points to the CHG but I seem to be the most unlucky person around as my local indie reckons this engine never fails? Has anyone else had a head gasket fail on the v6 before or any other areas to check before major overhaul?

must say i havent known anyone to do a head gasket before on that lump, dont mean tho at they cant fail, only way to be sure is to get a test of the water to see if it has co in it, that way you will be sure!!

Just done a pair of headgaskets for exactly the same problem, pressure checked the oil cooler, all fine there. Only thing left is headgaskets or a crack somewhere. Changed the headgaskets and all seems good. Interesting tho, the car has an after market warranty from WMS, who wanted the car stripped at the owners cast, having done that they sent an engineer out to inspect the gaskets, (the're ally gaskets covered in sealant) so no visable fault. refitted heads and problem cured. The warranty co refuse to pay as they say that its a headbolt tension problem and not covered???? I tell you these after market warranties aren't worth the paper there writen on. The owner is off to the small claims court.

P.s. No CO pressent as water to oil and not water to cylinder.

Thats interesting. Did you have the heads machined or just put them back on? getting 2 heads reconditioned is a major expense in the quote i have had.

Just checked them but fitted straight on.
