HELP!!
after having the car for a week last night i decided to check to see if the engine fan works, to my horror it dosent. i left the car ticking over and watched the needle raise to about 110c at which point i decided to switch it off before i blew a coreplug or something. Does anyone know, are the fans in these the viscous type, or as someone mentioned to me, it may be electromagnetic or something. can anyone help at all? Many thanks.

what year is the 190e?
there is a switch on the cylinder head, front right as you look at the engine, should be red,
if 1 wire, earth the cable out, if the fan cuts in its the switch, if not the electro magnet
if 2 pin, short the two out
if three pin, short the two lower (closest together)
Call me if you want further clarification
