On my W124 E300D the transmission pipe that runs from the top left of the rad (as you face it with the engine open), then runs under the rad to the RH side of the sump where it connects to anther pipe leading to the tranny – needs replacing.

Basically its corroded (badly – I recon it must be thin as hell – ready to spring a leak and wreck the box!) in the section under the rad – I only need the first pipe the runs from the rad the front of the sump)

Any ideas for best price/quality for this part?

PS – who makes the transmission? BW? ZF?

Thanks!

Max

Order from your local MB dealer; they'll need the VIN to identify the car. These pipes are not expensive and as you appreciate, much cheaper than a wrecked box.

Followed the link and yet another first class post Parrot, you certainly give the rest of us really good info and the confidence to DIY a lot of 'stuff' on our own motors.

Many thanks for your enthusiasm and for passing it all on in such a professional way.
