Corrosion / 320 CLK probs

Have 7 year old 320 clk, last summer noticed some rust spots coming through at boot on cover plate /light area. Have also got some light areas under arches. Is this common problem and do mercedes recognize this with anti corrosion warranty.

Unfortunately it is fairly common, depending upon the car's service history and your dealer you should be able to get this covered under the warranty.

I have a 99 E Class W210 that is currently in MB Direct having the following work done:

New Front Wings x 2
New Doors x 4
New Tailgate
Rear Wheel Arches x 2

No MB since 2002, indie serviced to schedule since.

All being done under warranty.

Yes

They Will Check For Paint Damage From Chips And Collisions But If It Is Bubbling Through They Will Do It Under Warrenty - Think About It Mb Pays Under Gt And Their Or Their Friends Body Shop Gets The Work...
'99 T Clk 320 ? Same As Mine? - Mines Just Had Its Second Respray - Rusty Just Over A Year After The First Respray At Mb!! Both Under Gt.

My 320CLK (2000 year) had its first respray (lower front wings) after less than 25k and 4 years. I went to MB but it was clear that the repair to the wheel arches would be left to some W/E kid to prep, so i declined and paid for it doing properly at a trusted body shop (they made a fantastic job on a complete respray of my 57 MG Magnette) further rust spots between the plastic bumpers and front and rear wings + rust under boot Merc badge just done this past fall. Will need further work next summer on sills.

This is on a car that has still only done 40k in 6.5 years is garged and valleted weekly. The alloy wheels have all rust bubbles(no kerb damage) going to try an outfit near Brum "ALLOYS WHEELS REFURBISHMENT WEST MIDLANDS" in March.

My 5th Merc, it looks stunning but the paint work is the worst i have ever owned and that in includes a BMC1300 Country man!! my Daughters 3 year old Skoda Fabia is in a different (better) league and thats been washed twice since new, even the scratch marks don't rust.
