The front seat tilt levers on my E350 Coupe has claimed another victim. The "chrome" is pealing off and leaving razor sharp edges. Has anybody replaced these or rectified the problem. The only thing I can see to do, is to take the whole lot off.

Not “chrome”, it IS chrome (ok, copper-nickel-chrome plating) the same as you’d find on any old fashioned exterior trim.

There is no rectification. One can replace, or have wrapped. I’d recommend putting a strip of duct tape over the flakey edge immediately though.

With your User name, can't you Paint them  Seriously though if you can get them off then painting would be better, probably Satin black would look good, doesn't have to be chrome/silver, and Black goes with anything, if you can't get them off, then try wrapping them, though that isn't as easy as you might think. :)
