courtesy light

When i exit my car the courtesy light will stay on and will not go off!!
Any ideas?

Faulty switch? If your windows normally operate with ignition off and door open, do they now operate with ignition off & door closed? That would tend to indicate the switch.

Faulty timer relay? Don't know what model you've got, so can't help with location of relay. If you can find it, you could test it with a power source and a multimeter or lightbulb.

Hi Aly

Need to know what model you have could be anything from a door pin switch to OCP (overhead control panel)

Check Car Manual to find out how long it should stay on for. I have an E220 2001. The interior light stays on for 5 minutes before going off. This corresponds with the 5 mins mentioned in the manual.
