Crap radio W211

I have three W211s all with less than acceptable radio receptions, they loose the FM stations in many places and refuse to retune, is this a common problem with this car, any solutions out there?

This used to happen with mine but only when the rear screen heater was switched on, the cure was a replacement screen although they did manage to scratch the bodywork in the bottom corner of the screen during the replacement. Talking to the RAC windscreens man who repaired the chip in my front screen he said they had changed many W211 rear screens for the same issue.
