Does anyone have any idea or know anything about how and where the crash pressure sensors go and work in an A-Class A160. There’s two of them and they’re both blue, and are both connected to each other via a clear pipe.

There’s one each side on the front crash bar. You’ll need to remove the front bumper to get to them. The tube runs across the crash bar. An impact squishes the pipe and the sensors measure the squish. It can determine the severity of the impact from the data, apparently

The pipe on mine has split in half, however, there’s been no airbag or seatbelts deployed. I have repaired the pipe and the car is running fine so far, do you think a repair is enough for it?

A split in the pipe will not be detected by the system. It won’t function as intended with a split in it though.

Okay, cheers. Do you know anything about the active brake assist system? Mines damaged and needs replacing. Will I need to buy the exact same one and then use a programme like star to get it programmed to the car?
