crazy mercedes radio

Hi,

Has anyone experienced perculiar behaviour? - Mercedes 'special' RDS radio/cassette/CD autochanger factory installation

My radio auto searches a station.... I select the station I want from the preprogrammed stations, it allows me to listen for about 20-30 seconds then changes station through a search process. After a good mile of messing with the controls (random button pressing) I managed to get onto CD. Great I thought, a whole tune! No. It starts to play that tune then skips to the next track. Sometimes you get the start of the tune, moreoften it just jumps straight to the next track.

This is driving me spare, has anyone else seen or almost heard anything like it?

It's fixed itself!

The stereo has not started functioning correctly! How strange is that!!

Maybe it doesn't like the cold!

SOunds to me like you have got the scan function switched on. Find a button or have a search through the menu and turn it off...

Irritating though isnt it :evil:

I spoke too soon, it started playing up again on the way home :cry:
