My wife's wipers are so creaky it's driving her nuts. The main dealer continually fails to correct the problem. They say they can't hear anything, but every time I get in the car I can hear it so they must be deaf.

It's the sort of sound you'd get from rubber being forced against metal. I am imagining a shaft twisting in a dry rubber seal somewhere but I know not where to start looking.

Any tips greatfully received, for my wife's sake.

The noise would likely be coming from the mechanical levers in the mechanism, something loose or perhaps a rubber sound deadening support had been displaced, there could also be a ball joint worn away but that is highly unlikely as your car can’t be more than 5 years old.

You are going to have to investigate yourself if you feel that you are correct in that there is a fault somewhere, in order to do that you will need to remove the trim to gain access to the wiper mechanism.

Unless someone on here can guide you through this process then you will need a Haynes Manual for your particular car.
