I recently bought an S320 CDi 2002 model and the non franchise dealer put 2 new tyres on as part of the deal. They are cheapies and my cruise isnt working beyond 45 mph and looking at other posts it must be the tyres. But the dealer also replaced brake pads for me and the warning light never went off and he cant turn it off (it comes on when I start the car on as a fault)

As this is part of the braking system i wonder if this is why the cruise is dodgy?

many thanks

Hello and welcome.

If the brake pads were replaced, and the lamp is still on, then the sensors have not been replaced, or they have been plugged in incorrectly, its a 2 wire system on your car.

For the CC, have they fitted the incorrect size or have they disturbed the speed sensor when they did the pads
