Cruise control problems

The cruise control on my 1995 E280 trips out when the car reaches the top of gradual inclines - it's becoming a real nuisance. Can anyone advise how straighforward it is to put it right?

Hi woody,not an easy fault with many things that can cause this, see what I can find , no promises.
