I realise that MB dealers will always be more expensive for maintenance and services , does the same apply to bodywork repairs? Looks like a new wing is required so i am assuming an indy would be a better idea than a dealer?

Cheers

Most MB dealers will have a specific bodyshop they use as they rarely have their own.
I'd find a reputable one and go with them. I spoke to a neighbour who's a used car buyer for a main dealer and asked for his recommendation

As per Blobcat. If you can find out which bodyshop MB use, that would be my starting point.
MB will put a big markup on top.

Can I what colour paint please, as some you have to be careful with and need to go to the bodyshop armed with the correct questions and info.

After the debacle with my R Class when it suffered damage while in their care they sent my car away for repair to both passenger side doors. Stevie Wonder could have made a better job of it using a rattle can. So find the body shop that MB use & find somewhere else. ;)

I used to be a body repair shop for a Mercedes Indy, retired from body repairs in 2002, I guess that's not much help to you. :(

I was a brain surgeon and research scientist and just before I retired, I found a simple method of reversing the ageing process, returning vitality and vigour to men and women alike, strangely though, whilst I now have the energy and looks I had in my thirties, I can’t be ars*d to share it, because it might interfere with my retirement….

Only kidding, I used to mend cars…
