Cutting out!

Hi , I drive vito 638 cdi 108 2003 (diesel)
Its recently started cuttin out while driving. An not restarting for about 10 mins ( usually starts when I request aa call out) cos of covid its not gettin road trips ,its doin 8 miles to work,8 back,4 days a week.
The garage has had it 2 wks ( long story ) but has found nothing wrong. Iv to pick it up today an my mot is on monday .Im super panicked now. Looked for new mot date but closest is another month away.so if anything happens after monday wi no mot I wont b covered by insurance.
I hav to try an find another garage perhaps wi an auto spark this afternoon an.i dont want to drive it in busy traffic.

Any suggestions or valium wud b most welcome

I'd normally say crank position sensor issue, but I don't know if it applies to this engine.
Someone more knowledgeable should be along soon.

Usually its a loss of fuel pressure that causes this. So I would be guessing at high injector leak off or worn nozzles on the injectors themselves.

Thanku,in gonna leave it wer it is until my mot on monday (cos its near mot center) try an get it throo mot an drop it roun to another garage afterwards.hes trained wi Mercedes an has 25 yrs behind him so hopefully he can fix it.he doesnt normally touch old vitos but my brother used to delivers parts ti them so he's gonna hav a look. Fingers crossed feelin a lot calmer anyway lol.thanks again
