cv joint replacement on vito van

hi all my nearside inner cv joint on my 1996 vito 108 cdi is u/s. im thinking of changing it outside my house, will the c/v joint just pop out with a chisel etc ,and if i loose oil where is the plug to top it up.

It's much easier and quicker to replace the whole shaft as theres not a lot of difference in the price. If your going down the "REPLACE CV JOINT ROUTE" make sure the SPLINES on the shaft are not worn especially if it's a high mileage vehicle .If they are theres not much point in just replacing JUST the CV JOINT .

Hi TV, please could you send me the same - I have a 2000 Vito 108cdi, all the boots are knackered, its its done tons of miles, so i'd like to check it all out and replace what's needed.
