cylinder head cover w210 e320 c.d.i

Hey i have another question for you mercedes experts out there. The cylinder head cover on the e320 cdi head straight 6, Do the diesel injectors seal to this or do they go through it and attach to the cylinder head it self . I was just wonderering if the injector seats were on the cylinder head cover or the cylinder head itself ? I suppose i should look myself really but its cold outside and im being lazy
