D Service

Hi All
Can anybody tell me what a D service consists of on a E320 Coupe, and what I should expect to pay from an inderpendant.

Apparently it's a diagnotic service, where they plug the car into the computer and it tells them what needs to be done/changed. From when I've asked before, you could reckon on £450-£500 from a MB dealer, so probably about 25% cheaper? Check the indie can plug in though. First service I had was a C service, when when done told me I'd need a D service in 12,300 miles. This somehow changed to a C service within a couple of thousand, so you might experience similar, depending how you drive ?
