DAB/Bluetooth upgrade ideas?

Hi,

Thanks for having me on here. I am now in the very fortunate position of inheriting a lovely 2008 e280 cdi estate. What a car!

I have already serviced and MOT'd with no advisories. New mats, a very thorough clean inside and out and leather cleaned.

My next job or project is to upgrade the radio. I love my music and I also spend 2-3hours in the car which is generally when I can make my phone calls etc so need bluetooth/Dab.

I would like any suggestions or knowledge as to whether a head unit from a newer Mercedes would be a straight swap, or to go for an adaptor, or bite the bullet and get a refit. I've had some horrendous quotes about the parts needed just to replace - more than the pioneer head unit I was thinking of installing!

Also I'm not a fan of things stuck to the dash or windscreen or wires trailing!!!

Hello and welcome

I fitted a Nextbase 250DAB hard wired into the aux in of my comand system and am very happy with it.
The 350 also has Bluetooth for your phone if you want that option. I didn't as my phone connects directly to the comand system.
