Daft newbie question - where is cigarette lighter on a 1997 slk?

Hi guys,

I've just put a deposit on a 1997 SLK 230k and I can't remember seeing a cigarette lighter / power socket. I'm starting to panic slightly about where to plug in my shocking-battery-life TomTom. Is there one?

Please tell me i've made the right decision swapping my little smartie pixie machine for an old SLK!!

Hello,

Think from memory its in the console ahead of gear stick.

However its one of the few things on a Merc that was a No cost option.

so the original owner could choose not to have the 'smoker' package.

Same option would apply 'free' to badge delete, so most of the small engined single pipes merc in the uk would have this option ticked

Its one of these locations if it hasn't had the smokers package deleted on build,
