Damage at the Airport

I went on a trip and had my car booked into the Meet and Greet at Edinburgh Airport. All fine until I got back and had a scrape on the rear bumper which someone had tried to colour in with the wrong colour. They have disputed the damage and even their own photo's are as they say are "inconclusive" whether the damage was there to start with as the quality is not good enough. Fuming is not the word that springs to mind. Got a quote and sent it to them, hoping they cough up.

Aye, too many horror stories, and if you shop around you can find discounts for the on-site car parks anyway.

Yes, they almost never let them fly these days. The carry on limit is just too harsh these days...

Good result if they have agreed to meet the cost.

I have used Long Term airport parking only once.
Purple Parking close to Luton Airport in 2009.

I parked my W210 on hard standing only to return to find it in 4 inches of mud on an outside row in a field.
The whole exposed side sprayed with mud. My one and only airport parked car. Never again.

We use the 210 for airport parking. It's rusty, dented and looks pretty much like it's been through the wars so we aren't precious about it. I'd never take the SLs....(never get all Mrs LKs luggage in!)

Social media and review sites help a lot these days, companies cannot afford bad press. The cost to repair cars is cheaper than lost revenue. I use a farm near Bristol airport, I also take pics from every angle before the car is moved into the barn.

I normally fly from Newcastle and always use the meet and greet there, and have never had a problem. Car gets looked after and never a mark on it. I would use my other car, a Peugeot 207cc GT but not much room in the boot.
