Hi. Have recently acquired a 1998 C200 W202 which appears to be in showroom condition. After last night's heavy rain I discovered about half inch of water in the nearside front footwell. The water is dripping from behind the lower facia panel. Help!!!!!

Hello, and your air intake box is blocked, you must remove the grill in front of the screen and clear the drain hole in the bottom of the box

Many thanks Malcolm, Have carried out your recommendation. The drain-hole was blocked solid with leaf mould. Have tested it with a bucket of water and seems to be fine now. Have the wife's hair dryer going full belt to dry out the interior. You're a star!

Be sure to check your cabin filter as this may have got wet and require replacing.

Very good point again Andy, once these filters get wet the air flow can be much reduced
