Thanks for the reply, I’m just a little concerned one would be easy to pinch from a convertible if I left the roof down! Each to their own so you will get lots of opinions.
I have used them for the last 15 years or so, cheap and expensive. It’s the spec you need foe clear and crisp video footage for when it matters.
I used to use the dod ls430w and it’s similar counter parts and rebranded by next base units 512g.
I’m recent years I’ve switched to VIOFO A129 duo for a smaller form factor, easy dual channel, large capacity sd card compatibility, lens and chip spec, sensible field of view, dynamic range performance along with reliable operation in any temperature.
Don’t get suckered in by a lot of the marketing hype on many units.

Thanks, I’ll have a look at themI have a Ddpai Mini 3 in my ML and the original Mini 1 in my Smart. The Mini 1 is stuck permanently to the screen whereas the Mini 3 is easily removed from its bracket ... the right angled Jack plug plugs into the end of the camera through the bracket. Both record pretty well & clear .... as you'd hope, the 3 is better than the 1. It looks like there is now a Mini 5 available which looks to have a quick release magnetic connection.

There is a very easy way to avoid the possibility of this happening.I’m just a little concerned one would be easy to pinch from a convertible if I left the roof down!
