Dash gone blank

I've just had a new battery installed 3 days ago not sure if this could be problem

But I've got in to car today and dash has gone totally blank

Got no speedometer no fuel gauge even buttons on steering wheel has gone off

Indicators still work but no indicator sound and lights still work

I've also checked fuses no 28 and 5

Hi

Just started car and dash has gone totally blank

Also steering wheel buttons not functioning

Indicators work but no sound

Just had a battery change few days ago aswell

I would say your new battery had an excess charge and the spike has blown the cluster.

How unlucky, but its a good reason why I always turn the headlamps on when fitting a new battery or starting a vehicle with a boost pack. Any excess electric will draw straight through the bulbs and not the cars ECUs.

Agreed on the Indy. Might want to start the conversation with Halfords about a claim (if that’s what has blown it)

Never, ever get those monkeys to do anything to a decent car. Nine times out of ten, they’re as much as a good Indy - and you’re supporting a local business :)
