Dash Illumination.

Hi Folks.

2004 c class estate dashboard question. Should the small information section which gives time, mpg, etc between the two main dials be illuminated when the light are off? I ask this as This screen is nearly impossible to read in daylight. Cheers.

Sods law. Today it is clear. It's the missus car and she tells me it is an intermittent fault, some days clear, others very hard to see. It's not sun glare or anything like that.

Have you tried turning up the dash illumination?

Do these dim when the lights are on,
could it be auto lights switching on?

Illumination up full and actually becomes crystal clear when auto lights come on. I will get her to monitor this and let me know the next time it is difficult to see and get a photo then. I must have a look on the bay for a manual for this model. Thanks for your suggestions.
