Dash lights out

Hello,

Excuse my complete ignorance on this one, I've just bought a 1979 350SL and the dash lights (speedo, tacho etc) are un-illuminated when the headlights are switched on. The light on the gear selector is fine. Could this be some kind of fuse problem? Any advice welcome.

have you tried turning the dimmer switch on the dash?

if it is turned down ,then your dash cluster light won't light up.

hope this cures it!
