De-mister on E Sprinter

Hi, I'm a fleet manager and we use the E-sprinters. Our drivers have complained that the de-mister takes around 3 minutes to clear the windscreen from condensation. Could anyone advise if this is normal as it seems excessive if no ice is present. The hire company we used said it could be down to a lower powered heating element. We didn't experience this with another brand of electric vehicle so I'm wondering if this is a fault?

Demisting always works best with the aircon on. Is this turned off, or turned down, by default on electric vans?

Don't think we have any other E Sprinter drivers on here.

Are they like the cars where you can pre heat the interior from the app while they are still on charge as i know with vans the mileage is way down on cars. Perhaps while the drivers are getting there gear together for the day they could pre heat it.

Thanks for the idea Eman. Unfortunately, they’re not that advanced. It’s worst when our drivers are out at night.

On the EQC there’s a switch you can clear the screen with if it starts misting and gives you full beans of the fan blowing hot air with the air conditioning on also. And if I’m waiting for the missus while she’s in the shop I can start the pre entry climate from the dash without the ignition on if it gets chilly. Thought Merc would have carried that through their EV range.
