This afternoon after washing the car the gadges stoped working. The Oil ,Gas, and Tack do not work at all, but the speedometer and clock still work. There is a buzz from under the dash. If I turn on a turn signal the buzz stops but the gadges still don't work. I love the car but have to have the gadges work . Has anyone had this happen? Please let me know . Thanks

Are you sure it's from under the dash, and not in the engine compartment (beside the fuses).

Sounds like a sticking relay, or a faulty ignition switch. It an easy job to slide out the instrument console for further inspection.

I found # 5 fuse had a crack. I had to take it out to see the flaw. I think it is time to replace all the old fuses. thanks for the help.

Well I did mention the words 'fuse box'

Second one today, see the wiper thread below.

Yes I would change all the fuses, and make sure that they are all making good contact. I had a 230 back before the 300ce before the SL.
One of the fuses cracked, and created an arc from one side to the other. Luck I got it on time. Could have burned my whole loom.
