E class 270d.
270d 53plate model.
I changed both the main and auxiliary battery last month after having starting flat battery problems.
The charging system was fine and charged both batterys.
The car is used every day .
Today it started no problem.
I parked it up .
And now it will not allow the key to turn in the ignition.
The Central locking works ?
I've tried to jump start it at the auxiliary and the main batterys but still nothing .
I changed the key fob battery it's still the same .??
Is there relay between the battery and the ingnition if so where ?
Any help would be great PLEASE.

Might be a good idea to check for water ingress in the boot if it gets in to the electrical system it will short out .So after reading this again it looks like ignition lock yes?

On the basis of looking at what you last touched did you do the battery clamps up tight?

Thanks for the help.
Interesting point about the door locks.
When the fault happened the central locking worked but the key would not turn in the ingnition?
It's been ok now for 2 days .
I've just had a flick pushing the door light switches and now the central locking won't lock ??
Will this reset if I disconect both the batterys or is there reset procedure?
Thanks for the help
