No You dont have to use water as it has something called surfactants which carry the dirt off the car, it worked ok on both of my vehicles and they really do shine.

Just as Megs advertise their product. But I would not use it to remove heavy contamination. You will get swirl marks if not careful.

I use it to boost the wax I have already applied

I use autoglym window cleaner. Gliptone leather cleaner and conditioner and 3m hand glaze for the body work. My car is shiny obsidian black and comes up with a showroom finish. It takes some time but lasts for weeks.

Agree with all those but I use Collinite 915 for the paintwork protection. I applied two coats at the beginning of December and it's still beading very well

I did not say that,, I was talking about plastic parts of the car inside where human grease is well bedded in, you try to clean off with spirit and you end up with a sticky mess.
It is through this reason that I would never use a dashboard cleaner, the grease ends up under the cleaner and is even harder to remove

In the world of filtered water, I have been using Aquagleams filter for past 18 months, its just now coming up for replacement, believe it was around £80 odd, but its been absolutly wonderful, no water stain marks on my black paintwork as the car is left to dry off, always looks good after washing only, albeit if you were to wax it afterwards, it will always look that much more finished, but I would recommend the water filter.

Our Body shop uses an autosmart product called cherry glaze, you apply it with a damp soft aplicator sponge, on glass paint work etc, it goes on clear but drys cloudy and you wipe it off with a microfibre cloth and it wipes off so so easily, and it hides a multitude of sins, but it is just a temporary none protective product, but it works very very well. Its cheap too, there is another called Tee dee wax, 5litres is about £14.00 but I dont use it here anymore, I replaced the lot with Autoglym, and only buy the cherry from autosmart.
