Yes I have read it before, the faults that the dealer found were definite faults and I am surprised that they were not picked up before

So just how many miles has his car done with this fault and why didn't you reject it at the start?

I have my own story with a Ford that SWMBO bought last year. I dissed the steering saying it was stiff and wouldn't return to the center of its own accord?

Ford dealers' head mechanic tried to tell me it was OK and he had one like that in the past. Aye richt? That's just dandy we thought.

It failed its MoT the next week and needed a new power steering rack. I knew it too.

I now service her car myself. Tossers, she could have been of the road or worse!

Always get a second or even third opinion, always.

Jeez, am I the only one around here with a Benz that works properly? Well apart from the built-in-rust of course.

J G B reply.

Schtum:
It has done 9950 milles.

Before I bought the car we had lunch meeting with DCUK after sales manager, he assured us that he will be liasing with the dealer and we will be well looked after.

I did rejected it, that's when they start saying it was a CHARACTERISTIC, I was then told if your not happy with it sell it and buy another one.

BlackC55:
I will call you very soon.

Is there a good reason why you haven`t taken legal action against the supplier for full recovery + costs?

Week soicitors

We did try the solicitors root but unfortunately we had a week solicitor.

Both parties agreed to a joint expert engineer from the same organisation (IAEA) as the engineer I had, during the test drive he refused to go over 30 mph and made few racist comment to me, like "he disapproves of the multi-culture society we live in". I complained to the solicitors and I rejected his report prior to receiving it which said there was nothing wrong with the car, contradicting Mercedes dealer technicians and his team mate.

Solicitors advice was that we can not reject the report based on racist comments as this will open another can of worm.

I mentioned this to Mercedes-Benz UK but they are very happy with his report. Contradicting the dealers and his team mate.

I have recorded his comments and have sent to Mercedes-Benz and MB-DCUK CEO Wilfried Steffen. Still no comment.

May I ask what prompted that meeting to occur? It strikes me as unusual.

That is simply diabolical from a company like Mercedes. I would of thought they would care more about customers' satisfaction.

This rests with the top man. Wilfred Steffen

"don't pay the ferry man until he gets you to the other side"

J G B made his mistake in trusting and paying Mercedes-Benz.
Appaling, It's time MB faced the fact and gave J G B a replacement car or refund. I don't think anyone in his rigt mind would want to have anything to do with MB anymore.
