deepening it up? a question on behalf of my mother

hey all,

my mothers asked me to ask you guys something in regard to the exhaust system of a 1992 190e merc. The exhaust has been changed so far in that it has a kobi / club type muffler in place of the cat. What she wants to know is how to deepen the exhaust tone up for a minimal cost.

Ive heard people saying if you remove one (im not sure which one) muffler it will deepen it. I still havent got the guts to get experiment untill ive got some opinions.
