Demisting Mirrors (W208)

Some advice please...

My CLK 430 comes with demisting door mirrors... apparently. However, only the off side mirror demists. I have been told this is not a fault as the nearside mirror does not demist as it has the mechanism which dips it when reversing. (Why should I want to look at the ground when going backwards :? ) I am not sure I believe this advice. My questions are:

1) Should the nearside door mirror demist; and
2) If not standard, can it be switched on?

Yes the nearside mirror does demist even if memory park position is avialable what is the point of the mirror going to park posistion if you can't see because its misted up ????? get back to them and get it sorted
