Your Mercedes
A150 2door 2008
Hello all.
I have just aquired a C250TD auto estate to replace my previous C220 diesel saloon (after its falling out of favour due to the inherent Lucas pump/tank pipework debacle...but that's another story). My present dilemma has been brought on by the absence of an owners handbook. The dealer, from whom I aquired the vehicle, told me that the previous owner had not brought it in with the vehicle, but he would try to get it!! My local MB dealership tell me they can get me one, but dependant on the stocks at MB GB, it could be weeks or even months before they can get one for me.
The C250 TD has more refinements than my C220 and so I am rather lost with a number of switches/controls/features. These include air cond., head light washer, control of the alarm system (particularly the dashboard control for motion and jacking/lifting), the finer detail of the cruise control operation... "and anyone else who knows me"!
I have spent a good length of time today scouring the 'net for anything of a downloadable nature but, it must be conceded, without any success.
I have a Haynes book of technical nonsense, (which for some odd reason Haynes refer to as a Workshop Manual) left over from my C220, and which is supposed to cover my C250. However it is, like all Haynes fiction, even less use than a New Labour PM (and that is really bad news.)
Here is a cry from the heart..."please can anyone HELP?"

air con - on unless E oe EC button pressed and light is on - then no air con

headlight washers are auto - when you squirt the windscreen, headlights get done (if they are switched on)

press hook / tow symbol after removing ign key but before locking car to deactivate motion sensor (when in very windy place) - ditto for internal sensor (when leaving dog / child in car). small led should light / flash

cruise - up or down briefly to set speed. press up to increase speed by approx 1kmh per touch, or down to decrease by 1 kmh (0.6mph). press and hold to increse constantly. in towards you to resume (only works over 25 iirc mph and not after a res-start) - away from you to cancel. do you have "LIM" on the stick? this is he limiter - press stalk in to set max speed - again iirc to cancel - light on stalk should light.

anything else?
