My 300D has started losing large amounts of fuel today. I had a quick
look under the bonnet when I got home and its spurting out of one of
the fuel injectors. Everything seems tight. Does anyone know if its a
case of renewing the injector or could it be more serious?

There is a small rubber return pipe that goes from the fuel rail to the lift pump this become hard with age you have to take off the injector cover to get to it cheers eds.....

Sorted. You were right. The fuel was not spurting from the injector but
from one of the rubber pipes close to the injector. The diesel specialist
who sorted it charged me £1. Now that's a result. For the record, on the day it went I used 5 gallons doing 15 miles. 3 mpg. Just shows how much fuel you can lose through a tiny pin prick of a hole. Thanks to those who replied.
