Diesel injectors C270

Hello Everyone

I am a proud owner of a C270 cdi 03 plate on 110,000 miles and rising and new to MB. I have just had 1 injector replaced at a huge cost! does this mean the others are on the way out!! Does anyone know what the average life expectancy of diesel injectors are?

The injectors in these CDI engines do seem to be a weakspot and I have experienced this personaly, thankfully in warranty. With luck you will have got the 1 weak one and that could be it for a while.

Many people swear by using quality brand diesels and avoid supermarket fuel like the plague as there is always the suspicion that a poorer additive content punishes fuel pumps and injectors. I think Shell and Esso give you 'super' diesel for no extra cost while BP charge extravagantly for Ultimate diesel, I am sure their regular diesel is better than supermarket stuff anyway.
