Diesel injectors

Has anyone got any idea of cost of injectors for a 1991 300TD

replacement injectors are expensive but they are serviceable with a new set of nozzles on average they work out at between 20>30 per injector
exchange ones i think are usually £60>

I had my injectors serviced today but when I put them back in again I broke the plastic sleeve thing that goes around one of them .Is that bit really important because I left it off :-?

soz dont know what that piece is for think the important bit is futher down the injector somthing 2 do with heat transfer away from the nozzle???? :?

well all I put on was a small washer thingymajig then the injector I will try and get it checked at the garage today

what I could do with now is a detailed diagram of a injector just to see how they work , anyone know where I can find one.
