Diesel Leak help needed

01 E320 Avant-garde Diesel leak slow top end radiator back, maybe some sort of fuel feed pump very hard to see as to location behind radiator. Any thoughts on what it is and how to sort.

that sounds like the high pressure pump leaking or one of the fuel lines coming from or going to pump, theres a blanking point on top of the engine on that model which also leaks and runs down the front of the engine, need to get it done due to the derv makes the lower water hose going soft and blowing pipe off!!

I have a similar problem on my 2000 W210 320CDI Estate. I had the 3 fuel lines replaced in Sept but the leak has come back and i have been told it is the fuel pump and this is a known problem in this model.

New pump £441 +VAT
Labour £130 +VAT

:shock:

Thats and expensive pump, can anyone suggest a better online price for the part ? I assume the garage quoted me OEM parts from MB. Garage is a local non MD place.

hi i have heard there is a repair kit available , so that might be a cheaper option , i have a similar problem on my c 270 , one of my pump heads has a leak when cold but stops after a few mins as the engine gets warmer , hope this helps
