Diesel smell incabin/burning diesel

I need to consult the experts..again!!.

Problem started couple of days ago,got a smell of diesel IN the car and outside,after car had been running. ..Tonight i lifted the bonnet and on the top of the cylinder head sort of where the injectors are ?? NEAREST the bulkhead, there was a very slight amount of smoke and a smell of diesel.Could this be something loose on the fuel system ?? injectors,or whatever they are called ??..Im going to take it to a garage tomorrow,anyone got any thoughts before they get their hands on it ??!!

hi there
the most likely cause of your problem is that a leak off pipe has come adrift.
you dont say what engine you have but i guess its got a cover on the top
& you cant see the pipes. its a easy diy job to sort it though.
