Yes it’s a free update to the engine management system to reduce the amount of Nitrogen Dioxide emitted by your engine. By all accounts it leans the fuel mixture off for a more complete burn but as a consequence it appears to reduce the power output meaning the gear change rpm points are affected (raised) and your car may not change into top gear until 70+ mph
There have been one or two threads on the issue if you do a search on the forum and some very unhappy owners

I don't think I like the sound of this update
I haven't really noticed a difference in the way the car drives but it has only been a couple of days
The main gripe is that most updated cars don’t change up into top gear until 74mph (illegal in UK) after the update and prior to the update top was achieved circa 65mph, a lot are now using the paddles for the last up change which works but is a faff
