Diff question for Malc

I have a 1995 CL500 Coupe and want to replace the diff, I also have a 1994 S500 saloon. Is the diff the same, ie are the ratios the same.

Can you please give me the first 6 numbers of VIN for both cars please, and I will see what I can find. Don't know if this info is covered

Ive search the forum with no info found, just wondering if my CL has LSD or anything like that, the CL vin is 1400702a299936-3 I will forward the vin from the S500 tomorrow.

Not the same, the S500 being a 140070 uses the same diff as a R129 with ASR.
the CL500 that is a 215315 does not have ASR
