Hi,

I owned an automatic  C180 (W202) 1996 model. My problem now is when i travel within town area, my engine get hot and cannot start when i stop. If I travel long distance with no stopping, the engine was fine. I tried to change the thermostat sensor or radiator heating sensor but still unable to solve the problem. Pls help.

I had the same problem start resently with my E420, does any know how to resolve this. One minute it runs fine for a while make a stop and it will not crank at all until it has cooled down maybe after an hour. Has anyone come across a reslove for this problem. Thanks

Sounds like the crankshaft position sensor is failing, the symptoms you describe are classic.

Unlikely to be crank sensor as that causes car to stop all of a sudden.

Your problems are starting.

Sounds like fuel problems, fuel pressure circuit and controllers.

Do you mean your starter will not even turn engine over ???????

Have you had the codes read ????????
