Digital Milo turns off

I ahve a problem with a 1998 C180, the digital milometer and outside temp reading turn off for no reason, the outside temp reads -38 and somtimes goes up would this be related.

Are you sure its not the illumination on the mileometer/odometer turning off? The outside temp maybe the sensor playing up. You will find it at the front bumper. They are only cheap.

Another thing. There maybe a loose connection in the actual cluster. You can get them re-furbed.
