I have a 2004 W211 E320 CDI - with Xenon lights - I think!

I occasionally get a Malfunction message "Dipped Beam Right", but the bulb is still working. Sometimes though if I turn the lights from Auto to Manual, the bulb will not light. However, next time I start the car - all is OK and the message will not appear for 100's of miles.

Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this

This is a hard one,,could be the lamp,or burner or control.

If the car is put onto STAR it should say where the fault is, at a push it could be a SAM fault

There again the fault may go away on its own, just live with it for now if you wish
