Sudden failure of all direction indicators but they work on hazard. At first accompanied by a buzzing whirring sound but that's now gone. It appeared to be from one of the multipin relays next the fuse box. Where is the flasher unit?

I would have thought failed relay but understand one relay serves both purposes - direction and hazard. With all four gone it can't be an earth problem - or can it? If its a relay can they be replaced or does it mean buying the whole black box? Any help appreciated

Sticking your hand out of the window doesn't seem to work these days and which way do you rotate your arm for a left turn?
